St. Rita was born in Italy. At a very young age, St. Rita knew that she wanted to be a nun. She had a special devotion to the Passion of Christ. She loved Jesus so much that she prayed to suffer like Him. Her prayers were answered, and a wound was formed on her forehead as if a thorn had pierced her. The wound remained on her forehead until her death. St. Rita is the patron saint of parenthood. Her feast day is on May 22nd. How can we remember Jesus’ Passion?
